WHITE BREAD
Ingredients:
360g all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. instant yeast
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup lukewarm water
20g butter
2 tsp. vanilla essence
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and
salt.
Add the lukewarm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients,
and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes, until it becomes smooth
and elastic.
Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest for about
an hour, until it doubles in size.
Preheat the oven to 180 to 190 degrees Celsius.
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or buns.
Place the loaf or buns onto a greased baking sheet or into a
greased loaf pan.
Cover the dough again and let it rise for an additional 30
minutes.
Use a sharp knife to make a few shallow cuts on the top of
the loaf (optional)
Bake the bread for 30-40 minutes, until it is golden brown
and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few
minutes before slicing and serving.
